I thought about this the other day… I recently added a post that had some financial information that had details about my actual financial numbers. It’s not normally a big deal, but then I started thinking about the fallout it would cause if certain peers of mine started reading this (out of the blue). Unfortunately, as you start to accumulate wealth (or lose wealth), you will inevitably be judged. It can affect relationships and overall how people look at you. I would say I’m really the same person I’ve been over the course of the last 5 years. My habits are pretty much the same and all of that other stuff.
Overall, over a period of time, habits are mainly what determines where you end up. It’s like the concept of compound interest… If you continue to do the same thing over and over, you’re going to continue to get those same results over time. Most people tend to think that’s not really the case (even though, in my opinion, it’s a fact). So, based on my habits, I’d say things are starting to happen for me. However, it wasn’t an over-night thing, it is plainly a result of my habits.
The difference now is that the results are becoming more and more staggering. Thus, I’ve decided to obscure my financial numbers. I will say, however, that the numbers are getting VERY large. Much larger than I ever expected!
The numbers can work in your favor as well, just change your habits to reflect what you want the outcome to be… AND NEVER GIVE UP!!!
